Steve has 40+ years experience in the insurance industry, having started his career in his father’s insurance agency as a 3rd generation broker. Stephen opened his firm in 1996 after working for local, regional and national insurance brokers.

30+ years of working with trust fund clients and 25+ years with labor unions and employer organizations.

Graduated with honors, UC Berkeley and served two years active duty in the US Army Intelligence Corps

Rich joined the firm in 2008 to become the fourth generation of insurance brokers in the Horn family. His 13+ years of experience managing our book of business has built relationships with insurers that enable us to get the best coverage and premiums for our clients. Richard has deep expertise in Fiduciary liability and Cyber Insurance.

Previous experience:

• 10 years in investment banking firms in various capacities including Director of Research for Pacific Growth Equities in San Francisco
• Prior experience in public relations & advertising including six years at McCann-Erikson.
• Graduated from University of Arizona

Julie joined the firm in 2022 and with a breath of Commercial insurance experience working for other small commercial brokers like Horn Insurance.

Previous experience:

• Expertise in commercial property & casualty insurance and workers’ compensation
• Licensed Property & Casualty broker
• Served four years in the US Army as a PATRIOT Missile Operator
• Associates Degree in Applied Technology

In the Horn family insurance tradition, Debby worked at the firm as a Senior Account Executive from 2003-2006 but left to pursue her career as a Marketing consultant. Returned to firm management in 2019.

Previous experience:

• 20+ years of Marketing and Sales positions in a wide range of companies including non-profits, small startups to Fortune 500 companies in tech and consumer products. Worked for over 10 years at The Clorox Company as a Brand Manager and Marketing consultant
• 5+ years in Accounting with Price Waterhouse and Pepsi. Certified Public Accountant, California
• Earned an MBA at The Anderson School of Management at UCLA and undergrad degree at Georgetown University
